After you listen to some of his music, look up his biography. Adam Young does all of his music in the basement of his home in Minnesota. He is also a Christian! I know there are a lot of artists that claim to be Christian, but I can just tell by his interviews, tweets, facebook posts, etc., that he is a true follower of Christ. I remember the first time I saw something on facebook from him about his faith. All he put was "I love Jesus." I saw that and was very shocked. I know that a lot of secular artists don't like to share a lot about their spiritual life to their fans. I even read a lot of the comments. It was about 50/50 between really supportive or really disappointed.
Adam has definitely become a role model to me. He has shared his faith with a lot on the line with his fans. He could have lost hundreds, or even thousands of followers, just because of that one comment. He chose to share that because he really does love Jesus. I think, as Christians, we can learn from Adam. We can't be afraid to share what's truly on our hearts.
I'm actually going to see Adam in concert on Sunday at Hartman Arena. I can't wait to watch him and see his personality come alive through his music! More to come after the concert!
